A photographic workshop for the Art Academy Without Walls, Lusaka, Zambia 2004
This was an initiative by NORAD, the Norwegian Government overseas aid organisation to support the Zambian cultural community.
My role was to oversee the supply and installation of a photographic facility and to deliver an intensive workshop for a group of artists who had been selected to participate in a rolling programme focused upon a range of disciplines over a period of four years.
Additional to technical and theoretical instruction, I invited the artists to explore a number of themes, to apply what they had learned; these ranged from the state of the environment to working practices and by their nature produced some provocative images.
